A disabled person is required to have "Handbook for the disabled people" to receive many welfare services. The handbook includes "Handbook for the physically-challenged people", "Handbook for the disabled people with medical raising" and "Handbook for health and welfare of the mentally disabled people". Service for the elderly people

Koriyama City provides services including "subsidies for treatment including acupuncture, moxibustion and massage" and "subsidies of hot spring ticket for the elderly to live in high spirit" with the elderly people to live in a familiar community healthily and with a purpose of life.

Nursing-care insurance

Nursing-care insurance system is the system that people at the age of 40 years or over enroll in and pay the insurance fee, and if a person is admitted to be in need of nursing-care, he or she may utilize the nursing-care service by bearing 10 % of the service fee.

Koriyama City provides the nursing-care services, such as a facility service and home-care service (visiting nursing-care, visiting care, visiting bathing, ambulatory nursing care and ambulatory rehabilitation). If the foreign national wants to use such services, he or she is required to apply for the certification of long-term care need.

(3) Child welfare

Koriyama City will inform the foreign national of a program to support child-raising, a benefit & subsidy system, a child-care facility and a counseling facility relating to children.
